You get the confirmation dialog ONLY if you used the DEL keyboard key to do the deleting. If you used the right click to show the context menu and then selected delete by mistake instead of copy or some other choice, then THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION REQUEST. The folder and its contents are gone! Terrible new “feature”.
